Import a Zoom Meeting into Canvas Course

This article describes how to import a Zoom meeting created at boisestate.zoom.us into the Canvas LTI.

Instructions

  1. Go to boisestatecanvas.instructure.com.

  2. Login using your Boise State credentials.

  3. Navigate to the desired canvas course.

  4. Select Zoom in the course navigation menu.

    • If the Zoom link is not available, select Settings → Navigation Tab → Enable the Zoom link → Select Save from the bottom of the page.

  5. Select the ellipse button (vertical "...") in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

6. Select Import meeting from the options.

7. Type or copy-paste the Zoom video conference Meeting ID into the text field

8. Select the Import button

9. A message will be displayed when you have successfully imported the Zoom video conference.

 

Please note that a Zoom meeting can only be associated with 1 course in Canvas. If you want to use the same Zoom link for 2 different Canvas courses, you cannot use the integration; instead, just share the link directly with students.
