Embedding Content Into a Video

This article guides you through the steps of embedding webpages or YouTube videos into your video session.

Instructions

Adding a YouTube Video

  1. In the Panopto editor, click on an area in the timeline on where you want to insert your embedded content.
  2. Click on the Add content tool (plus sign)
  3. Click on Add a YouTube video.
  4. Copy and paste the YouTube URL in the Link text field.
  5. Put a Start time and End time to set what region of the YouTube video will play.
    (e.g. if you want to show only 1:25 - 1:40, you would put 1.25 in the Start field and 1:40 in the End field.)
  6. Once you're finished, click on Done.

Adding a Webpage

  1. In the Panopto editor, click on an area in the timeline on where you want to insert your embedded content.
  2. Click on the Add content tool (plus sign)
  3. Click on Add a Webpage.
  4. Enter a name for the section.
  5. Copy and paste the link in the Link text field.
  6. Click Save.

Make sure "https://" is not in the beginning of your pasted link. "https://" is already prepended for you.
