Summary

This article lists some best practices to use when using Zoom within Blackboard.

Instructions

  • A well-liked option is to schedule a Recurring meeting with No Fixed Time if you plan to run your classes as synchronous online meetings. This means that students will just see 1 Zoom link within Blackboard and they will click that link each time the class is expected to meet.
  • Do not record the meeting automatically if you set a Recurring meeting. Instead, manually select Record after you have joined the meeting to start class. If you record to the Cloud, those recordings will be easily viewable by students from within Blackboard (after a few hours of processing time).
