Summary

Basics of using iClicker for polling and quizzing during class time

Instructions

Students must already have an iClicker app installed on their device (e.g. smartphone) or use in a browser on a laptop

Start

  • Log in to the podium computer
  • Log in to iClicker Cloud software
  • Hover over the class and click on Start Class

Launch Polling

  • Click Polling on the floating widget
  • Launch any PowerPoint or other course materials you are planning on presenting for polling or quizzing
  • Click on the Slide Show mode
  • Click on the chevron and choose question format type
    • Multiple choice is the default
  • Click on the Start button (green button) to poll
  • Click on the Stop button (red button)


  • Advance to the next slide


  • Click on the chevron and choose question format type
  • Click on the Start button (green button) to poll
  • Click on the Stop button (red button)


  • Repeat Steps for more polling questions

Close out of the Polling Session

  • Click on the left arrow (next to the green button) back to the Class Toolbar
  • Click the red “X” to end the class
  • Click End Class with Exit poll to ask students to give post-class feedback
  • Click End Class to end your iClicker Course session
