How to run a quiz using iClicker software

Instructions

  • Launch the iClicker Cloud desktop software, log in, then mouse over your course name, and click Start Class.
  • When you start class, your session becomes active and ready to join. Instruct students to join the session.
  • iClicker Cloud does not take a screenshot of your quiz questions. You must provide your students with a paper copy of the quiz or use a projector to display the quiz for your students. Before moving to the next step, make sure all of your students are ready. Click the Quizzing icon on the Class toolbar.
  • A Quizzing Setup window opens to specify the quiz details. The quiz name and points per question are automatically populated but can be modified. Enter the number of questions. Click Start.
  • After submitting your quizzing setup details, your toolbar will display quizzing options. Start the quiz by clicking the Start button on the Quizzing toolbar. Once you start the quiz, students can join the quizzing session and respond to questions at their own pace and in whatever order they like.
  • The Quizzing toolbar will show you how much time has elapsed in the quizzing activity and how many students have submitted responses. Click the Stop button to end the quiz once your students have submitted their work. The quiz activity cannot be restarted after it has ended.
  • Click on the Results icon in the Quizzing toolbar to view quiz results. The panel opens below the Quizzing toolbar, within the same window, and can be resized by dragging. The window contents are initially hidden behind a warning that you are about to show the quiz results. This measure is a safeguard against accidentally showing the results to the class before you are ready. To dismiss the warning, click View Answers & Results.
