Summary

This article will describe how to enable auto-recording Zoom meetings.

Local vs. Cloud Recording

Local Recording

Local recording will save a local copy of the meeting as an MP4 file to your computer.

Cloud Recording

Cloud recording will save the video to the cloud, where it can then be streamed. You can still download the video as an MP4 if you like.

Sharing Cloud Recordings

Find the recorded meeting at https://boisestate.zoom.us/recording, then click Share in the last column.

You can set various permissions on the recording by using the following settings:

  • Under Share This Recording, toggle on Publicly to allow anyone with the link to access the recording, or Only Authenticated Users Can View to limit it to Boise State accounts only.
  • If you want others to be able to download the recording, toggle on Viewers Can Download.
  • If you want to require viewers to fill out a registration form before viewing, toggle on On Demand (registration required).
  • To set a password for viewers to enter before viewing, toggle on Password Protection and type the password into the input field.

Select Copy Sharing Information to Clipboard to get a copy of the link to the recording. You can then paste this link elsewhere, such as an email or course site.

Once you've finished setting the recording permissions and copying the link, click Done.
