This article guides meeting hosts through multiple ways to start a meeting.

Zoom App

  1. Open the desktop Zoom app and sign in using SSO. Select Open Zoom Meetings, if prompted.

  2. click Sign In.

If you don’t have the desktop Zoom app, go to the Boise State Zoom website and click either Host Meeting with Video Off or Host Meeting with Video On to start the download.

  1. Select New Meeting. Optionally, click the down arrow to adjust your video and meeting ID.

  2. Click Invite in the bottom toolbar.

  3. Click the Email tab.

  4. Select an email provider or click Copy URL in the bottom left of the window.

Starting Meetings from the Web

If you prefer to use the web interface, you can also start a meeting from the Boise State Zoom website.

  1. Navigate to https://boisestate.zoom.us/.

  2. Click either Host Meeting with Video Off or Host Meeting with Video On.

  3. Zoom will attempt to start the desktop version of the application. This is preferable to the web interface (because the web version has fewer features), but if you have no other choice, you can click the click here to launch the meeting option, which will make a smaller footer appear. In this footer, click start from your browser.
