Summary

This article will describe how you can define a home page for your course.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to your current course Home by clicking Home in the list of pages to the left.
  2. On the right side of this page in the list of options, select Choose Home Page.
  3. You will see the following list of home page options:
    1. Course Activity Stream: This will allow students to see what's new as soon as they open the course.
    2. Pages Front Page: This will allow you to build your course home page from the ground up. (Note that the page must be set as the Pages front page before it can be used as the home page.)
    3. Course Modules: This option is best if you want students to work on a module-based system.
    4. Assignments List: This will allow students to view assignment statuses as soon as they open the course.
    5. Syllabus: This option is best if you want students to see the syllabus when they open your course.
