Note: If your course uses Canvas' Classic Quizzes tool, refer the the directions for using Respondus LockDown Browser with Classic Quizzes instead. If you’re not sure which quiz tool is used in your course, please verify with your instructor.

Instructions

  1. If you have not yet done so, download and install Lockdown Browser from this link: https://download.respondus.com/lockdown/download.php?id=497143110

  2. In a standard browser (e.g. Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox), navigate to your course and select the exam.

  3. You will be prompted to launch LockDown Browser. Click the Open LockDown Browser button to proceed.

    1. Mac users may be prompted to approve system permissions for Lockdown Browser. Follow the on-screen prompts to grant the necessary permissions.

  4. Click the Begin button to start the quiz or exam.
