Instructions on how to request a Canvas Sandbox Site. You can request up to 10 Sandbox Sites.
Note for “Staff”:
Please email LTS@boisestate.edu with this message:
“Hello, I am a Staff Member who is interested in requesting a Canvas Sandbox Site - can you please grant me access?”
A member of LTS will respond and you will then be able to follow the steps below.
Faculty Start Here:
Using Firefox or Chrome visit https://middleware.boisestate.edu.
If prompted, sign in with your Boise State username and password.
On the LMS Middleware Landing Page click Try Now! in the “Canvas is coming to Boise State! Create a Sandbox now!” box at the top of the screen.
A new screen will appear asking you to confirm that you would like to create a sandbox course in Canvas. Select YES.
Refresh your screen after a few minutes - select VIEW COURSE button.
Canvas will launch and you’ll be taken to the home screen of your sandbox course shell. Please note that this blank course shell does not have any content.
You can also access Canvas by going to https://boisestatecanvas.instructure.com/
To update the Title of your Sandbox Site, please email helpdesk@boisestate.edu with this request. The ability for faculty to make this change themselves is being developed.
