Summary:

If your Blackboard course site is a copy of another course, you will need to access the Respondus Dashboard in the new course in order to reinitialize Lockdown Browser for tests that were copied. The dashboard will automatically make the necessary changes and display a confirmation message.

Using Lockdown in copied Blackboard courses

If your new Blackboard course site was copied from another course that used Lockdown Browser, you will need to open the Respondus Dashboard at least one time in the new course. A message will appear to let you know that Lockdown Browser can now be used with the deployed exams that were copied with the course.

A notification message that states 'Important message - your settings have been updated. Copied courses require that you access the Respondus Lockdown Dashboard before exams can be taken by students. You just did that, so you're all set.'

The Respondus Dashboard can be accessed from the course menu by navigating to Course Management > Course Tools > Respondus Lockdown Browser.
