1. Prepare your Achieve and Canvas Courses.

   1. Make sure your Achieve and Canvas courses are created and ready for integration. Without prepared courses, the integration cannot proceed.

2. Go to your Achieve dashboard.

   1. Locate the Achieve Course you want to connect to Canvas.

   2. Click the ellipsis menu for the course.

   3. Select Edit Course.

3. Edit Course Settings:

   1. Enter your course name, course code, and institution.

   2. Confirm/select the term and year.

   3. Set Course Status = Active on Date.

   4. Confirm/set the Activate on and Course End Dates. The course end date must be set to a future date for the integration to work.

   5. Confirm/set Start Week On.

   6. Set LMS Integration = Yes.

   7. Enter the remaining fields as desired.

   8. Click Save.

4. Log in to the Canvas course that you want to link to your Achieve course.

   1. Go to Modules.

   2. Click the +Module button to create a new module.

   3. Enter a module name.

   4. Click Add Module.

5. Click the + (plus) icon on the new module. (Figure 1)

   1. Select External Tool from the Add drop-down.

   2. Scroll and click on Macmillan LTI Advantage Course Tools (1.3).

   3. Click Add Item. You will be returned to your Modules list.

6. Assign and link content from within your Achieve course.

   1. Click the More options Options menu (looks like an ellipse) for the content you want to assign.

   2. Click Edit Resource Details to open settings.

   3. Check Assign to students.

   4. Set the Due Date.

   5. Enter a Point Value.

   6. Check the desired student visibility.

   7. Check Sync to Canvas.

   8. Choose or create a Canvas module as the container for the resource.

   9. Confirm the remaining settings as desired.

   10. Save Changes. If prompted to sync or go to the Canvas courseclick Go To Canvas Course, do so now. (Figure 5)

   1. Go to Modules.

   2. Click the More Options menu for the module (looks like three stacked dots).

7. Sync and Refresh Content. You will need toallow

   3. Click Add to Modules to add the latest synced content to the desired Modules. Check the box and desired modules if adding multiple resources at once.

   4. Click Add to Modules. You will be returned to your Module list. Note: Generic Macmillan resources such as Home, E-book, and Student Registration will be made available to your students in Canvas as well as any ongoing content releases.
