Summary

Respondus LockDown Browser is a secure browser for taking tests in Blackboard. This article explains how to install LockDown and launch an exam.

LockDown prevents printing, copying, going to another URL, or accessing other applications during the exam. Exams that use Respondus LockDown cannot be accessed with a standard web browser.

Download and install LockDown Browser from this link: https://download.respondus.com/lockdown/download.php?id=497143110

Mac users may be prompted to grant permission for LockDown Browser to restrict access to certain features on your computer while you take an exam. Follow the on-screen prompts to grant the necessary permissions.

Note:

LockDown Browser is a client-based application. It does not collect information about the user. More information is available on the Respondus Website. Respondus Monitor is not currently used at Boise State.
