Before sharing any conversation, review the content to ensure it doesn't contain:
Sensitive personal information (SSNs, birth dates, phone numbers, etc.)
Institutional data from Canvas, courses, or student records
Passwords, API keys, or authentication credentials
Confidential work or research information
When you enable institutional tools (Canvas, Email, Calendar, Drive), conversations may include sensitive data. Always verify what you're sharing before clicking "Share."
Sharing conversations allows you to collaborate with colleagues, get feedback on AI-generated content, or document your work. http://boisestate.ai offers three main sharing methods, each with different use cases and privacy implications:
Copy/paste into an email or other document.
Export conversations.
Share with specific emails or make publicly available.
Copy Conversations
Copy Conversations
Copy/paste is the simplest way to share specific responses or portions of conversations with others via email, documents, or messages.
How to copy:
Highlight the text you want to copy using your mouse
Use Ctrl+C (Windows) or Cmd+C (Mac)
Paste into your email, document, or other application using Ctrl+V or Cmd+V
OR use the Copy Button:
Look for the copy icon (📋) directly underneath the AI response
Click once to copy the entire response to your clipboard
Paste into your destination application
Best for:
Sharing a single response or specific excerpt
Pasting into email or chat applications
Keeping only the most relevant content
Avoiding sharing entire conversation threads
**Browser
Exporting Conversations
To export a PDF of your conversation, select the kebab icon and then Export.
Choose the formatting you want in the “Export Conversation” pop-up, and select Export.
There will be a short time where the PDF is being created, and when it’s ready you will get a pop-up in your browser’s downloads. Download and save the PDF as you need.
Sharing Conversations
Sharing a conversation in boisestate.ai will not send an email to that recipient, it only shares access through boisestate.ai.
To share a conversation, select the kebab icon and then Share.
You will get a Share Conversation pop-up to decide who you’re sharing to and how long it’s being shared. When filled out, select Share Conversation.
