  • Subscribing now puts you on the list for when notifications launch

  • You won't be automatically notified of every update right now

How to Subscribe to Updates

Step-by-step process:

  1. Log in to http://boisestate.ai using your Boise State credentials

  2. Locate your profile menu in the top-right corner

    • Look for your initials or profile icon (typically in the top-right corner)

    • Click/tap on it to open the menu

  3. Select Notification Preferences from the dropdown menu

    • You'll be taken to the "Manage Notifications" screen

  4. Find the http://boisestate.ai Updates toggle

    • Look for an option labeled "http://boisestate.ai Updates," "Product Updates," or similar

    • This option may be grouped with other notification types

  5. Toggle ON to subscribe to email updates

    • The toggle should change color or display "On"

    • Your email address (your Boise State email) will be automatically added to the update distribution list

  6. Confirm your preference

    • Some interfaces may require you to click "Save" or "Apply"

    • You should see a confirmation message

  7. You're subscribed!

    • You're now on the mailing list for http://boisestate.ai updates

    • Watch for notification emails in your inbox (and check spam folder just in case)

Note: Your Boise State email address is used automatically. You cannot currently subscribe with an alternate email address; updates will be sent to your Boise State account.

If you want to modify your notification preferences later:

  1. Log into http://boisestate.ai

  2. Click your initials/profile icon in the top-right corner

  3. Select Notification Preferences

  4. Adjust any toggles as desired:

  5. Click Save or Apply if required

Possible notification options (when fully implemented):

  • All Updates: Receive notifications about all new features, improvements, and announcements

  • Critical Updates Only: Receive only urgent notifications (maintenance windows, access changes, security updates)

  • No Email Notifications: Turn off email but stay informed through other channels

Current option:

  • Currently, you can toggle on/off to subscribe or unsubscribe from updates

Unsubscribing from Updates

If you no longer wish to receive email updates:

  1. Log into http://boisestate.ai

  2. Click your initials/profile icon (top-right corner)

  3. Select Notification Preferences

  4. Toggle OFF the http://boisestate.ai Updates option

  5. Click Save (if required)

You'll be removed from the distribution list and won't receive update emails going forward.

Alternative: Many update emails include an "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom. You can click that to unsubscribe directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I subscribed but haven't received any emails. Is something wrong?

A: The email notification system is currently being set up. Your email has been collected, but automated emails are not yet active. Check back later, or contact LTS@boisestate.edu if you have urgent questions.

Q: Can I receive updates at a different email address?

A: Currently, no. Updates are sent to your Boise State email account. If you have a different preferred email, consider setting up email forwarding from your Boise State email.

Q: How often will I receive update emails?

A: Update frequency depends on how often new features are released. You'll receive emails for major updates and announcements, not for every minor change.

Q: Can I choose which types of updates to receive?

A: This feature is being developed. Currently, you can toggle updates on/off. Once the system is fully implemented, you may be able to select "critical updates only" or other preferences.

Q: What if I don't see the Notification Preferences option?

A: Check if you're logged in and click your profile icon (initials or profile picture) in the top-right corner. If you still don't see it, try refreshing your browser or clearing your cache.

Q: Will I receive notifications about bug fixes or behind-the-scenes improvements?

A: Probably not for every fix. Email notifications will focus on features that affect user experience. For a complete list of all changes, check the Teaching & Learning Tools Confluence documentation.

Q: Can I receive notifications on my phone?

A: Yes, notifications are sent via email, which you can access on your phone. If your Boise State email is set up on your phone's email app, you'll receive http://boisestate.ai notifications there automatically.

Q: What if I receive a notification email and then unsubscribe?

A: You'll stop receiving future emails. If you want to re-subscribe, just toggle the notification back on in your preferences.

Q: Is my email address secure? Will it be sold or shared?

A: Your email is used only by Boise State IT for http://boisestate.ai communications. It will not be sold, shared, or used for marketing by third parties. Your data is protected under Boise State's privacy policies.
