ProctorU Login Workaround

Summary: This workaround is to be used when the student has a ProctorU account under their student (@u.boisestate.edu) account, but their Canvas is associated with their staff (@boisestate.edu) account. 

How to Identify

The biggest indicator of this issue will be that the student has followed all instructions, but is prompted with a page to create an account after starting their exam, and the email auto-filled is their staff account.

 

How to Resolve 

  1. Click the ProctorU logo at the top of the page 

  1. Have the student fill in their email address and password to log in. 

  2. If the exam doesn’t automatically start for the student, after waiting to see if it will load (30+ seconds) click My Sessions on the top bar. 

  1. The exam should now start for the student.
