Adding Headers to Blackboard Content

Adding Headers to Blackboard Content

This content is archived.

Summary

This article describes how you can use headers within rich text content in Blackboard.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to a rich text entry location within Blackboard.

  2. To the left of the current font (Arial by default), you will see the Format dropdown (Paragraph by default). This allows you to select which style to use for the text.

  3. Click the Paragraph dropdown and select Header, Sub header 1, or Sub header 2, whichever is appropriate.

You shouldn't skip header levels. For example, if you select Sub header 2, it must be under a Sub header 1. This helps students using screen readers to have the correct document layout.
