First, make sure that you have followed the steps on how to install the extension. If the extension is installed, the problem may be due to a permissions issue in your browser.
When you first install the extension, your browser will ask whether you would like to allow it to access specific sites, or more generally, all websites. The extension will not work without having access to all sites. If you’re experiencing the following issues, try the solution below:
Solution
Type chrome://extensions/ into the address bar and press the Enter key.
On the ProctorU Extension, click the Details button.
Under Site Access, change the permission to All Sites.
Close the tab or window. Changes are automatically saved.
Click the extension icon in your toolbar and try signing in again. Remember to enable the Stay signed in option.
Why does the extension need access to all websites?
When you visit a page, the extension checks whether the URL belongs to an exam in the system. In some cases, instructors may allow you to access specific websites while testing. The extension determines if you’re accessing a permitted website while the test is active.
