Summary

In this article are the instructions on how to apply the restrictions settings to exams for the Academic Testing Center.

Applying IP Restrictions

  1. Once exam is created check the box for Filter IP Addresses.

  2. Click on the hourglass icon to search.

  3. Select the ‘Boise State Testing Center & PACS’ option.

  4. The IP address will auto-populate.

  5. Save the exam.

Applying Lockdown Browser

  1. Go to the Course Settings Navigation tab.

  2. Enable Lockdown Browser and save.

  3. Select Lockdown Browser in navigation bar.

  4. Select drop down arrow next to name of the exam requiring Lockdown Browser.

  5. Select Settings.

  6. Enable Lockdown Browser.

  7. Advance Settings

    1. Enable Calculator and type - if students are allowed to use a calculator

    2. Allow access to specific external web domains - used to allow access to Google Translate

      1. Copy and paste http://translate.google.com into box when checked

  8. Select Save + Close

  9. Exam should now say Required on the right hand side.
