Example of making a Canvas Assignment Available;

  • Go to Assignments in the Course Layout Menu.

  • Click on the Assignment Title, select the gray Edit button (near the title of the assignment).

Two ways:

  1. If the assignment is set to “Everyone” and the dates are open to the new availability times, the student in the “Incomplete “section can access it.

  2. Another option is to add the student or section independently with special availability dates.

Assign to Everyone or add specific students or sections individually

Once you have identified that a student is likely taking an Incomplete, consider the following:

  • Blackboard is no longer available submit a request for access Access to the Blackboard Archive Environment

    • Bonus: If you know what specific information you need from Blackboard, include this information in the Archive Request Form. LTS can mine these files per your request.

  • Preserve the Blackboard Gradebook by exporting and saving as an excel file (Work Offline).

  • If you know your student is taking an Incomplete during the Blackboard to Canvas Transition, download submitted assignments from the Blackboard Grade Center and save them to your computer or your Boise State Google Drive. This way if there are any questions about the student’s work or grades later, all the information is easily available.
