Instructors can allow students to access the course by extending the end date. This article describes how you can define the start and end dates of thea course and disallow students from modifying or accessing thea course when the course is not available. |
Instructions
Navigate to the course's Settings.
Scroll to Starts and Ends in the settings list.
If you want the course to start or end at a different time from the term dates,
select Course from the participation drop-down menu
fill in the appropriate dates in theĀ Starts andĀ Ends date inputs.
There are three checkboxes under the Ends input:
Students can only participate in the course between these dates: When the course is not in session, students are able to see the course but unable to interact with the page.
Restrict students from viewing this course after end date: Students can not see the course after the course has ended.
Restrict students from viewing this course before the start date: Students can not see the course before the course has started.
Note If you check either of the last two boxes, you must also check the first box in order to disable viewing the course.
