Summary

This article describes how you can check your grades in a Canvas course.

Instructions

In your course navigation, click on Grades.

You will see a list of every graded assignment you have access to. If you haven't seen an assignment grade since it was scored, a blue dot will appear next to the name.

Columns

Column Name

Column Description

Name

Name of the assignment.

Due

Due date of the assignment. Empty if the assignment has no due date.

Status

If you have any assignments that are missing or were late assignments, this column will appear.

Score

If the assignment has been scored, you will see your score in this column. If it hasn't been graded yet, an icon representing the type of assignment submitted or a dash will appear.

Out of

How many points the assignment is worth.

(Unmarked)

You may be able to see icons representing scoring details, comments, or rubrics.

What-If Grades

if you want to see what your grade would be based on estimations of ungraded assignments, you can do this by clicking on a score (or ungraded assignment dash/icon) and typing in a score. To reset the score, click on the blue arrow that appears next to the number.
