Instructions on how to determine a student’s last date of participation in their Canvas Course Site. This information is often requested by the Financial Aid Office concerning student’s financial aid awards.

Viewing Participation Activity from the Course Roster

  1. Log into Canvas and navigate to your course.

  2. Select People from the Course

Viewing Participation Activity from the Grade Book

  1. Log into Canvas and navigate to your course.

  2. Select Grades from the Course Navigation Menu

  3. Hover over the Student Name column header, and click the more options button (). Ensure that both the Inactive Enrollments and Concluded Enrollments options are checked.

  4. The course grade book will now show assignment scores and submissions for students who are no longer participating in the class.
