For the Spring and Summer 2020 terms, some Blackboard exams will be administered and monitored using ProctorU Review+ is a proctoring . This service that relies on AIA.I.-based monitoring, as well as live proctors who review the footage of students' exam sessions. For the remainder of the Spring 2020 term, the exams of some courses will be administered on Blackboard and monitored using Review+. Students will not incur a cost by using this proctoring option for proctored exams. Exams Tests will be proctored on demand, scheduling in advance will not be necessary. Students should remain aware of exam deadlines set by the instructor. It is also advised to follow the compatibility verification requirements ahead of the exam date.

This article outlines requirements that students should follow before exam day, as well as what to do on the day of the test.

Student Requirements (Complete Before Test-Day)

Please complete these requirements several days ahead of your exam. Be sure to read this list carefully.

  1. Install Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox (Other browsers are not supported).

  2. Ensure that you have a ProctorU student account that is associated with Create a ProctorU Test-Taker Account, and be sure to provide your Boise State student email (create one here). If you create a new account, log into your student email and click the ProctorU verification link immediatelyaddress when creating the account. If you’ve used ProctorU in one of your Boise State courses before, you may already have an account. Try signing in at the main portal to make sure.

  3. Install the ProctorU Browser Extension:

  4. Ensure that you have either a Boise State ID card or a Government ID.

  5. Verify that you have access to an external or built-in webcam and microphone and that your computer meets the minimum requirements (System Requirements).

  6. Ensure that you have either a Boise State ID card or a Government ID. You will be asked to present it at the time of your test.

  7. Verify your compatibility using the automatic compatibility-check tool. This is the best way to identify technical issues ahead of exam day.

  8. You can submit a ProctorU Support Request to work with support staff and resolve compatibility issues found by the tool.

  9. If you have worked with support staff, but are still unable to meet the technical requirements, please communicate with your instructor to seek solutions.
