Custom banners and course cards are a great way to make your course look even more professional and eye-catching for your students, but one thing to keep in mind is Boise State’s branding, copyright, and accessibility guidelines. The following are tips recommended by eCampus Center to make your banners and course cards look as good as possible while maintaining cohesion among other Boise State courses. Ask your program if there’s a template for designing consistent course banners. |

Best Practices
Avoid using course abbreviations and numbers (e.g. PHSM 517) in banners as these tend to change frequently and are less than ideal for cross-listed courses. Course name and number will be shown directly above and/or below these and therefore unnecessary. For course cards, use only an image taken directly from the course banner itself.
