If you do not already have one, create a ProctorU account. You must use your Boise State Student Email. Be sure to check your inbox for a verification link and verify your email right away.
To minimize technical issues, restart your computer before starting an exam. Be sure to close any unnecessary applications.
Launch the Guardian Browser from your computer. If Guardian is not installed on your machine, see the installation directions.
In the Guardian Browser, navigate to https://canvas.boisestate.edu/ and log in.
Access the Canvas course in which you need to take the exam, and navigate to the test.
Click the Take the Quiz button to begin. The ProctorU Pre-checks process will begin. Click the Get Started button to continue.
Follow the on-screen directions to complete the identity verification process. Be ready to present your Student ID Card or Dirver’s License. Your exam will begin once you complete all the steps.
Assistance with Technical Issues
If you experience a technical problem with Record+, please contact the Boise State Help Desk. Contacting ProctorU Support is not recommended for Record+ exams. Remember to include a detailed description of the problem, screenshots (if possible), the class name, the instructor’s name, and a callback phone number. If you need to report an issue after-hours, visit support.boisestate.edu, log in with your student credentials, then click Report A Problem.
