1. If you have not yet done so, download and install Lockdown Browser from this link: https://download.respondus.com/Lockdown/download.php?id=497143110

2. Close all open programs.

3. Locate the “Lockdown Browser” shortcut on the desktop and double-click it. (For Mac users, find “Lockdown Browser” in the LaunchPad or your Applications folder.

4. Lockdown may prompt you to close specific programs that are running on your computer (e.g., instant messaging, other browsers, etc.). You can close these programs by choosing “Close Applications” on the prompt message.

5. The default landing page for Lockdown Browser is the My Boise State portal. Log into your account and access Canvas.

6. Navigate to the test within the your course and select Begin Examclick the Take the Quiz button.

7. The test will then start (once a test has been started with Respondus Lockdown Browser, you cannot exit until the Submit button is clicked).
