| This article slows you how to manually add caption into your video sessions or upload your own captions or automatic captions. Any videos created after 7/27/21 will have Automatic Speech Recognition generated captions applied by default. These steps are primarily useful for videos created prior to 7/27/21. |
Instructions
- In the Panopto editor, click on the Captions tab.
- Click an area on the timeline of your video to where you want to add a caption.
- Type the caption in the Enter a caption box and hit Enter.
- To use automatic captions, click on Import captions and click on Replace with automatic captions.
- To upload your own captions, click on Import captions and click on Upload or request captions.
- Click on Choose File and select your own caption file.
- When chosen, click on Upload Captions.
