Once you're signed in, if you click "Host a Meeting" the desktop application will automatically download. Alternatively, you can click on the download footer linker at the Zoom website or directly from https://boisestate.zoom.us/support/download.

iOS and Android devices also have Zoom apps available. Search for "zoom" on the App Store or Play Store.

  • View what type of account you are logged in with (Pro or Basic)
  • Click on "Start without video" to start a meeting sharing your desktop or application
  • Click on "Start with video" to start a video meeting
  • Click on "Schedule" to set up a a future meeting
  • Click on "Join" to join a meeting that has already been started 
  • Click "Share Screen" to share your screen in a Zoom Room by entering in the sharing key or meeting ID

Meetings

Select "Meetings" to view, start, edit, and delete your personal meeting ID, scheduled meetings, and recorded meetings.

You can:

  • Start: Start the pre-scheduled meeting that you have listed in your upcoming meetings
  • Edit:  Editor update your scheduled meeting
  • Delete: Permanently delete your scheduled meeting
  • Copy: Copy your scheduled meeting(s) invitation text and manually paste into an email, IM, SMS etc.

Settings

You can find the Settings tab in the main dialog box or in the meeting menu bar. After clicking Settings, you will have the following options:

  • General: Select default preferences
  • Audio: Test, select and adjust your speakers, and microphone
  • Video: Test and select your video camera
  • Feedback: Provide questions, comments, or feedback to Zoom
  • Recording: Browse/open your stored recordings (all recordings are stored on your local device/computer) 
  • Account/Pro account: You can upgrade your account to Pro and manage your account details

Meeting Features

Once you're in a meeting, you have access to the following features in the menu bar at the bottom of your screen.


Note

If you don't see the menu bar, move your cursor to the bottom of the Zoom meeting window. It should pop up.

  • Invite more people to join by email, IM, SMS (mobile users) or meeting ID
  • Screen share your desktop or specific application window
  • Group or private chat
  • Record your meeting
  • Manage participants
  • Mute and unmute your audio
  • Select audio options
  • Stop and start your video
  • Configure your settings
  • Leave or end the meeting
