A new version of Camtasia was released 6/19/2018. A few things to keep in mind about this update. Camtasia 9 users are not entitled to an automatic upgrade to Camtasia 2018. However, if a faculty or staff member wants the new version, follow the established procedure of creating a service request, and complete the form linked to the Camtasia Studio and SnagIt Licensing page on the HD Documentation Google site. The requester will be automatically sent links to the software download site and the license key. We recommend uninstalling Camtasia 9 before installing Camtasia 2108. During the uninstall process, the user will be prompted to keep or delete media in the Camtasia Library. By choosing the default of keeping the files the user will have easy access to previous Camtasia projects.
